ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Daniel Burket

A husband, father, small business owner, and lifelong resident of Findlay, Ohio. I was raised in a working-class family that often went without more than the basics, and I know what it’s like to grow up with limited means. Those experiences shaped my values and my commitment to helping others.
I graduated from Liberty-Benton High School in 2013, then studied Political Science and Finance at Ohio University before transferring to Bowling Green State University. While I was in college, I had the chance to purchase the restaurant I was managing—Stevi B’s Pizza—and took over in June of 2017 at just 21 years old.
Since then, I’ve continued to own and operate that business, and I’ve used it as a way to give back to the community that raised me. Each year, we donate nearly 15,000 free meals to elementary students across Hancock County, hold monthly fundraisers for a couple local schools, and donate Christmas gifts to local kids each December.
In 2020, I joined the board of the Blanchard Valley Center, which serves individuals with developmental disabilities. I now serve as board president and also sit on the finance and ethics committees. My work there is focused on ensuring compassionate, high-quality care and expanding access, inclusion, and opportunity for those we serve.
I’m proud to say that I’m a product of welfare. Without the support my family received when we needed it most, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Welfare that my family received was not a burden to society, but an investment that I believe has paid off. I am proof that the American dream is possible—and I believe it should be within reach for everyone
